Mango Pineapple Smoothie

If you are looking for some tropical vibes on your day off, you have to try this delicious Mango Pineapple Smoothie. This refreshing recipe takes 5 minutes and will make you feel like you reached a tropical island. Both, children and adults love this smoothie and all it takes is three ingredients . frozen mango, frozen pineapple and coconut milk! Pineapple provides the smoothie with natural sweetness and has plenty of health benefits  as it is rich in antioxidants, nutrients, and enzymes. In addition, it is a wonderful source of Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, thiamin, folate, manganese, copper, potassium, and magnesium

Of course, there are various other ingredients that you can add to the flavor and nutritional value. Adding a teaspoon of chia seeds for example will increase the fiber content. You can also add other fruits such as a bananas or papayas. If you want to increase the protein content of the smoothie, you can add half a cup of Greek yogurt or a tablespoon of protein powder.

The frozen fruits ensure that the smoothie stays thick and creamy. Therefore, I use frozen fruits whenever I can. Just slice the fresh fruits into small pieces and keep them in the refrigerator at least 8 hours before making the smoothie. In case you want to use fresh fruits instead of frozen ones, just add a few ice cubes to the smoothie to make it really refreshing!
