They are crispy on the outside and soft as a pillow on the inside. They make a wonderful addition to pretty much any meal and are a real winner at parties and gatherings.
Best Garlic Knots
I love serving them up when friends are over. The dough itself is an absolute staple in our house and can also be used for pizzas or flatbreads if you want to try something a bit different with it. You can even prep the dough the day before if you’ve got a big event coming up and a lot of catering (among other things!) to sort out.
You can keep the dough in the fridge so it proofs slower meaning you’ll still make perfect garlic knots the next day. I really do hope you give it a go and would love to hear how you get on. I know you will keep coming back for more once you try your first one. They’re impossible to resist!
1 1/2 cup Luke warm water
2 3/4 active dry yeast
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
3/4 tsp garlic powder
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
4 tbsp unsalted melted butter
3 garlic minced
2 tbsp chopped parsley for garnishing
1/2 tsp salt
GARLIC HERB BUTTER
First add yeast , warm water and sugar to the bowl of the mixer and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Then add olive oil, salt, and garlic powder, and half of the flour and start kneating the dough on medium speed.
Then, add the remaining flour and continue kneading it for a few more minutes.
Shift the dough to another surface and start kneading it until soft, about 3 to 4 minutes.
Let it rise, make sure the large bowl is oiled and cover it. Let it set for at least 30 minutes (You get the best result if you let it rest in a warm place).
In the meamtime mix togetehr, the melted butter, garlice, salt and herbs and put a side.
Cut the dough into 13 strips and roll each strip into 7 inch ropes. Tie them into knots. The external edges should be folded underneath the knots.
Let the shaped knots rest for 40 minutes.
Now, you can preheat the oven to 400° F / 200°C
Now, coat the knots with the garlic herb butter. With the help of a brush, oil the knots and set them for bake. The knots require 15-20 minutes of baking before turning golden brown .
Serve them with a delicious herbs-yogurt dip.
Interesting and yummy 🤤
